When Young Democrat T.J. Copeland launched his insurgent campaign for State Representative against an entrenched incumbent, he needed a look that would speak to his base —young African-American voters— without alienating seniors who vote in large numbers.

To appeal equally to young and old, we crafted a graphic fusion of youthful energy, urban cool and nostalgic charm. The unique look was a departure from standard political graphics, and it successfully broke through campaign clutter to help propel the young candidate to within 900 votes of his better-known opponent.
